For sailors in port
So that you as a sailor don't feel too far from the sea (we are only a stone's throw from Saltsjön), part of the interior design in the club's premises is taken from a boat. With several employees, we run a service organization especially for seafarers.

Safety
Anyone who will be staying in or performing work within the port area is subject to rules and laws for the prevention of terrorism and sabotage, as well as safety regulations to prevent damage.

Seafarer’s Service
Seafarers’ Service provides crew members with a variety of services and support.
Seafarers’ Service in Stockholm provides crew members the following services:
• Telephone
• Internet
• Shuttle service from the port
• Cafeteria
• Sport (at Kaknäs Seamen’s Center)
• A familiar living room away from home
The service to crew members is provided by three different organisations, each with its own location. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Accommodation for sailors
Regardless if you are making a short visit in port or enjoying a vacation, you need to have a comfortable stay. At a number of hotels, catering for seamen all over the world, you will find the right prices and arrangements. Staying in these hotels, you may well come across colleagues to share your experiences with without giving up any comfort.
At Scandic Sjöfartshotellet you can stay at a heavily discounted price.
The conditions are as follows:
- You can identify yourself as an active professional seaman. Valid documents/certificates that apply; Swedish seafarers' book (last discharge not older than six months) and latest pay slip (not older than six months). Shipping company ID is NOT valid.
- To receive the discount, you must be a Swedish sailor with a Swedish seafaring record (deck, engine and quartermaster personnel and officer) or sail for a Swedish shipping company.
- Seamen residing in Stockholm County are not eligible for a discount.
- For foreign seafarers, the seafarer's discount only applies in connection with embarkation or disembarkation in Stockholm.
Room guarantee is valid until 12:00 noon on the day of arrival.
The discounted price can be obtained for a maximum of 20 days during a six-month period from the first overnight stay. The discounted price only applies to individual sailors on a private visit to Stockholm. The discount applies not in the service (incl. courses/training (work-related) and visa) and/or when the trip is paid for by an organization or employer/self-employed person/own shipping company.
The accommodation cost is currently from 300:- SEK for a single room and 500:- SEK for a double room. The price includes a delicious breakfast buffet.
The accommodation cost is paid upon check-in after you have filled in the special registration form, completely with all the information. (Filled in at each check-in.)
For seafarers seeking work, the accommodation cost is reduced provided that the following conditions are met:
• You are registered with one of the country's seafarers' agencies (all documents must be presented - including a medical certificate to the officer) for certification.
The certificate from the Seafarers' Agency and identification must be presented when checking in at the hotel.
• You have been employed by a ship/shipping company for the past 6 months. The jobseeker discount only applies to accommodation Monday to Friday in a single room.
Only applies if the sailor pays out of his own pocket and cannot be invoiced. The discount applies to non-pensioners.

GÖTEBORG
To fulfill its commitment to providing affordable hotel accommodation, the foundation has signed agreements with a number of hotels in Gothenburg where seafarers receive discounts on regular hotel prices.
The hotels that the foundation has agreements with are: Spar Hotel Gårda, Spar Hotel Majorna and Hotel Royal. The discount on these hotels is 600 SEK per day.
Active seafarers who want to take advantage of the opportunity for cheaper accommodation should contact their union delegation or the Swedish Maritime Administration's Rosenhill Seamen's Center at +46 (0)10-478 49 55 or email rosenhill@sjofartsverket.se
They help arrange hotel rooms and leave with a hotel voucher which is then handed over to the hotel as part payment. An invoice for the amount is then sent from the hotel to the foundation. Active seafarers on non-Swedish-flagged ships also have the opportunity to use the foundation's discount system according to the usual rules until further notice.
